Our skilled and creative team bring thorough knowledge and experience of both traditional and contemporary building practices. We have an extensive practical background in the use of different building materials, tin cladding, stone and metal work to name but a few.

We invite you to work with us on a set project or we’re equally happy to take the lead in designing for you based on an idea or vision. We can guide you through all the steps from initial concept, through to build and completion.

Timber framing has been used for centuries and remains, in our view, one of the most ecologically responsible and aesthetically pleasing ways to build. It offers a unique sense of permanence and authenticity, creating spaces that feel grounded and enduring.

While this age-old technique has largely been set aside in favour of modern construction methods, we believe it still has a vital role to play. When combined thoughtfully with contemporary materials and design principles, timber framing offers the best of both worlds: timeless beauty and modern performance.

With its exposed joints and natural materials, timber framing reveals the structure’s integrity—you can see exactly how it’s built. There are no chemically engineered fibres or synthetic components, just a truly natural environment shaped by craftsmanship.

Sauna culture is on the rise, bringing with it exciting opportunities to design and build structures that enhance these wellness-focused spaces. Hot and cold thermal therapy has well-documented benefits for both body and mind, and our mission is to support this by creating thoughtful, complementary builds.

We are passionate, creative, and experienced in working with a wide range of materials and construction techniques to deliver exceptional results. Whether working from detailed architectural plans or hand-drawn sketches, we’re comfortable adapting to both precise and organic design processes.

Tom and Dave worked together on various projects in the past but now they have come together to launch ‘The Cambium Project.’. Both bringing a wealth of knowledge from different backgrounds. They share a passion for a sustainable future, in both materials and supply chains. Both woodworkers, they love creating bespoke one off designs to suit their environment.
